MISSION CHURCH…simple.
A new church in Roselle, IL is prepping to open its doors to the neighborhood in October of 2011! As part of their launch campaign, we produced this motion graphics piece that creatively communicates the heart of Mission Church. The goal of this simple and inspiring piece was to invite people to join in with this new neighborhood movement.

CONNECT 8
For the parents of 8th graders, the transition from junior high to high school can be a challenging time. This piece casts a vision to the parents of incoming freshman to “keep their hands of the wheel” of their child’s spiritual life as they navigate the road ahead.
The opening sequence of this video is a 3D digital set integrated with live-action footage filmed against green screen. The haze and lighting effects were master-fully executed by Ryan Trommer.
UnDocumented.tv
Together, Matthew Soerens (author Welcoming the Stranger) and I created UnDocumented.tv featuring this film A NEW DREAM. Immigration is a very hot topic right now. It’s easy when you see stories on the news, to presume that those represent the majority of immigrants. It’s only when you have personal relationships with immigrants, that you realize some of those stereotypes might not actually be accurate.
Watch the Film. Then visit UnDocumented.tv to engage in culture-shaping experiences.

This video was a component of a rebrand campaign I creative directed for the 20-something’s ministry: AXIS (IAMAXIS.ORG). My goal with the rebrand was to create a sense of “instant nostalgia” – a welcoming community where memories are created every moment spent together.
Additional elements of this rebrand included: logo, photo shoot, printed materials, tee shirt design, and website including a web-app for mobile devices.

Filmed on-location in downtown Chicago and rural Kenya, two women from vastly different circumstances carry a yellow bucket of water through their respective landscapes.
“Be Hope to Her” (BH2O+) is a nationwide event hosted by NURU INTERNATIONAL designed to raise awareness about the need for clean water. With a yellow bucket on your head, participants journey to a water source, fill a yellow bucket and walk back as if they were providing a day’s worth of water for your family—just as millions of women and girls do across the globe every day. This project was featured in an article on the ONE CAMPAIGN blog.

Bjorn Amundsen and I worked together developing this concept piece to introduce Student Impact’s series titled A FIRE INSIDE. The tricky thing about these kinds of videos is that people have to watch them multiple times and be engaged every single time. After the first showing an audience member was hear saying, “That video was awesome! I’m gonna come back next week just to see THAT again.” Success! Sound design was courtesy of 4K Sound and really brings the piece to life. You can view the companion print materials in my GRAPHICS PORTFOLIO.
