We Will Walk

Here are some stills from the “WE WILL WALK” shoot in Chicago in mid-March for Nuru International’s BH2O+ (“Be Hope To Her”) clean water advocacy event. Randy Warren and I shot this piece, featuring Gemma Vaughn (best name ever), on the Canon 5D MkII using 50mm, 85mm, 28-100mm zoom, and 100-400mm telephoto lenses.

Scarf Knots!

Scarves are so ‘in’ right now and not just because it’s winter. It’s just plain chic to rock a scarf these days and it’s been cool to see the different ways people have been tying the knot ( and I’m not talkin’ about marriage here). I think that having an interesting way to tie a scarf knot is almost as important as the fabric of the scarf itself.

BE HOPE TO HER

BH2O+ (“Be Hope To Her”) is an clean water advocacy initiative of NURU International. Young people on college campuses across the U.S. stand in solidarity with millions of women and girls across Africa buy walking 25 minutes to a water source and back with a yellow bucket balanced on their heads. These tees depict portraits of Kenya women as they carry water for their families. The handwritten text on these shirts reads “This woman lives in Kuria, Kenya. She is one of a billion people living without access to clean water. Be Hope to Her.”
